NPO CELIA CIRCLE
“Always trust your heart, and never give in to failure. Seize the moment!
You have but one life, value yourself, respect yourself.
To attempt to achieve one’s goals in life requires an inner strength,
but to actually achieve them requires the ‘outer strength’
provided by the ones you love and love you.”
Celia Circle was established in March 2001 by the friends and supporters of Celia Dunkelman to bring her music, love for Indonesia, Japan and Israel, and message of peace and hope to a greater audience, and expand the charitable activities conducted in her name. In 2009 Celia Circle was officially recognized as a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) by the Japanese Cabinet.
Through music, art and educational activities, events and workshops, Celia Circle encourages people of all ages affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake to open their hearts and minds and learn about the world and enjoy new relationships and experiences in a safe and comfortable environment.
Beginning in 2012, Celia Circle has been holding Stepping Stones Program classes twice a month for kindergarten children and teachers, and once a month for nursery school and physically/mentally challenged children and their parents. In addition to this, various events are held throughout the year.
Starting in 2017, working together with parents and grandparents, a Preschool Leadership Skills Program was established to instill coping and leadership skills at an early stage in children about to enter elementary school.
Celia Circle hopes to continue its promotional and charitable activities, and invites you to join us in our mission: To strengthen the bonds of mutual trust and harmony through charitable activities for children and bring hope to people everywhere.
