My background
I am Celia Dunkelman; in addition to being a teacher, I am president of Purity Co., Ltd., and chairperson of NPO Celia Circle. Through music, art and educational activities, events and workshops Celia Circle encourages people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake to open their hearts and minds and learn about the world and enjoy new relationships and experiences in a safe and comfortable environment.
Since 2012, I have been holding Stepping Stones Program classes twice a month for kindergarten children and teachers, and once a month for nursery school and physically/mentally challenged children and their parents. In addition to this, various events are held throughout the year.
Starting in 2017, working together with parents and grandparents, a Preschool Leadership Skills Program was established to instill coping and leadership skills at an early stage in children about to enter elementary school.
